Before sharing my super easy paleo brownie cake recipe with you, I’d like to take this moment and let you know I personally … don’t like brownies. Weird, huh? And I know what you are thinking right now… “Wait, what?! Who doesn’t like brownies? Maybe some of you are even already considering closing this page, but, hey, let me finish.

I know it sounds strange not to love brownies, but I would ordinarily prefer to eat something else. Something else and not that sweet. Until now. Or until a few weeks ago when a colleague of mine offered me to try the brownie he had made at home right before coming to work.

They, I must admit, were quite delicious. I, however, decided to experiment and make the ultimate paleo-friendly dessert. Yes, this brownie cake is totally paleo.

And if you have a kid who’s constantly asking for “something sweet” (or it is just you trying not to buy the brownie you saw the other day because its full of sugar and you are trying to stay healthy) there you go, you have the perfect paleo dessert recipe. No sugar involved. Almond butter is what makes these paleo-friendly brownies perfectly dense and chewy.

Also, with Easter coming up, why not surprise your family with a healthy chocolate dessert. Believe me, these brownies are absolutely hitting the spot.

So, no more talking, here is the easiest paleo brownie recipe:

In a large bowl, you need to whisk together cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt.

Then, in a medium bowl, whisk together almond butter, coconut sugar, honey, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour into prepared pan and bake until done.

Sprinkle with coconut flakes, let it cool slightly and Voila! ♡
